Biological Description Selective A_2A receptor antagonist and MAO-B (monoamine oxidase B) inhibitor (K_i values are 54 and 100 nM respectively). Affords strong neuroprotection against 6-OHDA-induced neurotoxicity in vitro and is neuroprotective in Parkinson's disease models.
