Biological DescriptionEndogenous cannabinoid, binding to CB1, CB2 and vanilloid receptors. Cannabimimetic in vivo. Formulated in a water soluble emulsion that consists of a 1:4 ratio of soya oil/water, emulsified with the block co-polymer Pluronic F68. The emulsion can be diluted with any aqueous medium. Please note that water-insoluble lipids such as cannabinoids are incorporated into this emulsion using a highly specialized emulsification technique. The cannabinoid dissolves in oil droplets / particles, and addition of the block-co-polymer stabilizes these droplets. The mean particle diameter is 170-190 nM. The product is supplied with a 1 ml sample of the blank water-soluble emulsion (Asc-431) for use as a negative control. Anandamide is also available supplied in ethanol (Asc-087).
